I have to admit I was pretty underwhelmed by this month’s Birchbox, so this review will be short 😦 Here’s what I received:
Paula’s Choice RESIST Ultra-Light Super Antioxidant Concentrate Serum – $26.95
This serum went on super thick, almost like my Lancome primer that I use. I liked the feel of it more than an oily, or water-based serum, that leaves your face feeling sticky afterwards. The info card says the serum is supposed to balance skin and tighten pores, but I haven’t heard anything about the brand to know if it’s popular or actually works!
Whish Body Butter – $24
I really can’t stand getting body butters in these sample boxes, it seems like such a waste of a sample. This will either get thrown in my purse and eventually used… or placed in the guest bath to sit and hope some friend or family member steals it after a weekend stay!
W3ll People Multi-use Color Stick – $33
My only issue with this sample was the horrible container it was is. A super cheesy plastic capsule that hardly contained anything. It’s not convenient to use, and the sample size won’t last, nor will I be able to use all of it due to the container type. Oh well.
Harney & Sons Fine Teas – $9.60
These are actually packaged in some classy looking bags, but they’re still tea. This was the “Beauty Extra” for the month.
SarahPotempa The Half-up – $9
I had seen this on Birchbox’s blog a while back and it seems pretty easy to use, I might try it the next time I go out. I normally don’t wear my hair half up/half down but this might encourage me to switch it up!
Overall I wasn’t impressed by this month at all 😦
